Young Turkish player FM Burak Firat beat GM Yuri Yakovich, who is the highest rated player of the tournament, in an impressive style with the black pieces. IM Mustafa Yilmaz managed to convert his advantage into a won rook ending and got the full point. GM Viktor Moskalenko who played somehow risky, achieved to put his opponent IM Mert Erdogdu into a hard-to-play position and won the game. WIM Nazi Paikidze took advantage of thd missed oppourtinities of her young opponent CM Vahap Sanal and won the game. GM Grigore George-Gabriel and IM Baris Esen had equal chances in the game which ended in a draw.
